Eight months after we graduated;
Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and
the Big Bopper played one cold
February night, February 3, 1959,
at the Surf Ballroom in Clear
Lake, Iowa.  A couple of hours
later, the music died ---in a
snowstorm just off the airport, in
Clear Lake, Iowa. Do you
remember where you were when
you learned that the music died.
We were in a mess hall at Fort
Chaffee, Arkansas and in a
dormatory at Northland College
in Ashland Wisconsin.  Where
were you.  Let us know where
you were, when the music died.
"Chantilly lace, and a pretty face
Ponytail, hanging down,
Wiggle when she walks
Wiggle when she talks
Makes the world go 'round---"
Big Bopper
La Bamba  - Ritchie Valens
